Fissure in Ano दरार

It is an ulcer in the anal mucosa. It can be cause by passing hard stool or heavy diarrhea or spasm of anal muscle during passing of stool.
It gives severe burning pain in anal area during or after passing stool. As the disease advances the duration and severity of the pain increases.
Patient also complains of bleeding in stool, swelling at anal area and itching at anus. It can complicate and develop fistula in ano
In early phase or acute condition it can be manage with medical treatment and later as chronic stage it needs a surgical treatment.
